Why use ntbabysitting?
ntbabysitting is a dedicated babysitting agency. All our sitters have to pass the ntbabysitting employment process before we they may accept assignments. They must all hold minimum a First Aid Certificate, relevant state requirements eg NTSAFE card, police check, checkable references and experience working with children.
Why do I have to pay a booking fee?
The time to source sitters is very time consuming, to always ensure we offer this valuable service we need to charge a booking fee to cover the administration costs to source sitters to have available to you.
What type of qualifications do the sitters have?
Our sitters have a range of experience from fully qualified child care workers who hold Certificate III in Children Services or are currently studying Child Care right through to mum's and grandma's with a wealth of experience in raising children. We also have young responsible adults that have been babysitting on weekends for family and friends.
Do I have to pay the sitter cash?
Yes, you must pay the sitter at the end of the assignment.
Why would I become a member?
Everyone who wants to use ntbabysitting needs to become a member. It is important to ensure the safety of all our sitters that all parents are members. As a member you are able to choose the sitter (if available) of your choice based on the sitters profile.
Can I request the same sitter each time?
Yes, as long as the sitter is available for you
Can I call the sitter direct and make a booking?
No, all sitters contract to us and contacting them direct will terminate their contract with ntbabysitting and no further work for them. So you may feel easier to call them direct but they will receive no further work from ntbabysitting and no one wants this to happen. All ntbabysitting sitters are aware of the terms and conditions of excepting jobs with ntbabysitting and will direct you to use the service and not contact them direct. They will notify us immediately of any approaches from parents. This may terminate your membership with ntbabysitting.
I made a booking but I have been notified that the sitter is sick?
We will try our best to find a replacement sitter but unfortunately all sitters contract to us and sometimes we cannot replace a sitter. As they contract to us we cannot hold them to any jobs. ntbabysitting takes it very serious when sitters do not turn up to jobs and have systems in place to minimise this.
Will the sitter come to my home?
Yes, our sitters will only come to your home or hotel.
What if I'm later than the time I anticipated I would be home?
That's fine you just need to pay the sitter additional hours, our sitters know to stay until you return.
Will the sitter put my children to bed?
When you fill out your booking form you can put down your children's sleeping habits and also when your sitter arrives simply tell them when you want your children in bed and any requirements they need. eg light left on, glass of milk before bed etc
